MACHINES

1. Definition of Machine.

Machines are instruments that we use to do some jobs with less effort or reducing the time needed.
 
There are SIMPLE MACHINES and COMPLEX MACHINES.
 
 
 
 

2. Simple Machines.

 
SIMPLE MACHINES are made of one or very few pieces. There are six different simple machines, all of which provide mechanical advantage: inclined plane, wedge, screw, wheel - axle, lever and pulley.
 
 

3. Complex Machines.

COMPLEX MACHINES are made of several simple machines, connected.
 
 In the past machines were manual. They used the energy of animals or people to work. Today, most machines are automatic and work with electricity or alternative energies.​
